However, deer are fun to watch in the daytime as they bound around with their white tails flashing.
They often come up fairly close to homes in areas where they have learned there is no deer hunting.
We have a couple of bird baths in the back yard of our acreage and they often come up and drink out of those anymore. Sometimes the birds will put up a bit of a fight for their "watering hole."
The deer also compete with the squirrels and birds for the grain that falls to the ground under the bird feeders. We had a Doe and a pair of Fawns that came up in the yard a lot this summer. It was interesting to watch them play in the yard and grow up over the months. Didn't think about doing a video back then of the fawns playing in the back yard.

(Sorry about Camera "Jiggling" in a few spots - was using zoom, holding vertical blinds back since was shooting video through patio door glass, trying to hold steady + keep moving deer in view -- missed on "steady" some places in video.)
